Entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame is the biggest nod an NFL player or head coach could get after giving their life to the game of football.
Speaking of that, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is someone who will likely get inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
But for now, Tomlin is enjoying his life as an analyst for NBC Sports and shared his honest take on who deserves this honor if he had a vote.

With the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony near, Tomlin revealed who would get his ‘golden ticket’ if he had a say in the voting process.
“My golden ticket, unquestionably, goes to Hines Ward. He’s got Hall of Fame numbers, he’s got 1,000 career catches, 12,000 yards, 85 touchdowns, a Super Bowl MVP.
“But beyond the statistics, it was his style of play. This guy was a predator, not prey,” Tomlin said on Football Night in America,
He added, “Every defensive player in the National Football League feared Hines Ward. When you played against Hines Ward, you hated him. No DB liked Hines Ward. He would try to take your head off.”
Not only did Ward enjoy a solid 14-year career in the NFL, but he later transitioned into a coaching role, showing the legendary receiver’s football prowess.
Tomlin may be a bit biased toward Ward as he coached him for five years with the Steelers, but the stats back the receiver’s Pro Football Hall of Fame case as well.
