Michael Penix won't do 11-on-11 work this week

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix still isn't ready for full practice participation.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters at a Monday press conference that Penix will remain on the "same plan" that he's been on throughout the summer. That means he will do individual and position drills as well as 7-on-7 work, but he will not take part in any 11-on-11 periods during practice.

There will be one difference for Penix this week. The Falcons will be practicing with the Colts and Stefanski said that there will be 7-on-7 periods during those sessions, so he will get some work against an opposing defense.

It remains to be seen if anything will change for Penix next week, but the Falcons keep moving closer to the start of the season without much reason to believe anyone other than Tua Tagovailoa will be starting at quarterback in Week 1.
