Former Standout UCF F Keyshawn Hall Commits to St. John's

The recent changes to collegiate athletes' eligibility has thrown a new loophole into the transfer portal era, with players who participated in NBA Summer League opting to return to college following the various rulings.
Former UCF standout Keyshawn Hall is one of these players, seeking an additional year after spending time with the Miami Heat Summer League team.

For now, he is ruled ineligible thanks to the Ohio Court of Appeals' recent motion, but he will likely find an additional year.
Regardless, Hall has found his presumed next school, committing to Rick Pitino and St. John's on Tuesday night.
This marks a fifth school in five seasons for Hall, who spent his junior year in Orlando.
After starting at UNLV and spending his sophomore year with George Mason, Hall made the move to the Power 4.
With the Knights, Hall averaged 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, shooting at 43/35/82 splits.
As the Big 12's leading scorer, Hall posted multiple 30+ point performances, including a 40-point outburst against Arizona State.
Against the Sun Devils, Hall became just the third UCF player in the program's Division I history to eclipse 40 points.
He got off to a hot start, converting on his first six shot attempts while making four of his first five three-point attempts.
After scoring 29 points in the first half, Hall finished the game with 40, shooting 13-for-18 from the floor and 4-for-6 from long range.
Hall's 620 points on the season were the ninth most in a season in UCF history and he once again found himself on the second team in his conference's awards.
Following his standout season with the Black and Gold, Hall originally voiced that he was going to return to the program for his senior campaign. However, after this original claim, Hall decided to enter the NBA Draft.
After going through the pre-draft process, Hall decided to return to college, committing to Auburn.
Hall had a stellar season with first-year head coach Steven Pearl, but remained off most draft boards going into this year's selections.
Sure enough, Hall went undrafted, but landed with the Heat as part of their preseason squad.
Because of the current wording within the rulings, it seems likely that Hall will be able to return to college and play for the Johnnies because he is yet to sign a professional contract.
But, it remains to be seen how this developing situation will play out.
