FC Bayern keen on young Croatian in search for Boey replacement

According to Croatian sports newspaper Sportske Novosti, Bayern have been keeping tabs on Hajduk Split defender Luka Hodak. A scout representing the German record champions was reportedly in attendance for Hajduk’s home meeting with NK Osijek, with the 20-year-old believed to have been the subject of close observation.

Hodak is a product of Hajduk’s academy and has successfully made the step up to the club’s senior side. The defender primarily operates at right-back and is also a member of the Croatian U21 setup.
Interest from beyond Croatia underlines the progress Hodak has made in recent years. Sportske Novosti reports that Feyenoord are also tracking the young full-back, with the Dutch club having already sent scouts to assess him. Polish outfit Raków Częstochowa have likewise been credited with an interest in the Croatian.
Hajduk, for their part, moved to secure Hodak’s future before interest in his services intensified. The academy graduate is tied to the club until 2029, with Hajduk viewing him as an important part of their long-term plans and unlikely to be willing to sanction his departure without serious consideration.
A transfer to Munich does not appear to be on the immediate horizon, however. Bayern’s interest in Hodak was first reported towards the end of 2025, although it was suggested at the time that a move during the summer of 2026 was not being actively planned.
Nevertheless, the reported presence of a Bayern scout at Hajduk’s latest fixture suggests that Hodak remains on the club’s radar and continues to be monitored by those at Säbener Straße.
