We have a guess for which players the Milwaukee Brewers will include on their 2026 playoff roster when the National League Division Series gets going Saturday, Oct. 3, in Milwaukee.
But we don't know the opponent yet, and the Brewers have time to hash out their 26-man list.

When do the Milwaukee Brewers need to submit their playoff roster?
Rosters are due the morning of their first playoff game, so they don't technically need to make that final call until Oct. 3.
Who's eligible to be on the Brewers' 26-man playoff roster?
Any player on the 40-man roster or 60-day injured list as of noon Sept. 1 is eligible for the postseason. That would include players who finished the season with the big-league club as well as some players who finished in the minors like Coleman Crow, Jared Koenig, Garrett Stallings, Brandon Sproat, Jeferson Quero, Akil Baddoo and Tyler Black.
It also includes pitcher Brandon Woodruff, who's eligible to return from the 60-day injured list.
A player who doesn't meet that criteria can still be added to the roster if he was in the organization by Aug. 31 and is replacing someone on the injured list who has already served the full term of the injury designation, like Grant Anderson, who's been on the injured list since early September, or Andrew Vaughn, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with illness but will be eligible to return by Game 1 of the NLDS.
It's why the Brewers are staying prepared with unlikely roster candidates Andrew Fischer, Jesús Made and Darrien Miller available if a player indeed goes down with injury. Those players aren't currently on the 40-man roster.
Will the Brewers' roster for the NLDS be the same for every round of the playoffs?
No, a team can submit a new 26-man roster before every round of the playoffs.
What happens if a Brewers player gets injured during a playoff series?
A team can replace an injured player through permission from the Commissioner's office, but once a player is removed from a playoff roster, he's ineligible for the rest of that series and the subsequent series. In other words, if the Brewers replaced someone midway through the division series, that player wouldn't be able to return until the World Series. And if they replaced someone in the NLCS, that player would be done for the postseason.
Players on the injured list and extra players eligible for the roster but not on the roster — yet readily available in case of injury — can travel with the team during the postseason.
