COLUMBIA — Who decides if South Carolina football star edge rusher Dylan Stewart's suspension is lifted and when he returns to the team?

Stewart was suspended indefinitely by Beamer after Stewart, a potential top 10 2027 NFL Draft pick, had several incidents during the Alabama game, including punching tight end Josh Ford in the helmet for a personal foul penalty.
Beamer said Sept. 27 the suspension was indefinite and he won't play when South Carolina (2-2, 0-2) hosts Kentucky (3-1, 1-1) on Oct. 3 (4:15 p.m. ET, SEC Network).
There's no update in terms of when the suspension could end or to his status.
"No (update), not with the team right now," Beamer said.
