“Reminds Me of Anthony Richardson”: Former National Champ Makes Thoughts Clear on Kamario Taylor Amid Alabama Matchup
· Yahoo Sports
Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-0) quarterback Kamario Taylor has started the season strong. With a nearly 70% completion rate, he has thrown for 1,192 yards in four games, with 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
He is off to a good start in today’s matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0). At halftime, he has completed 16 of 29 passes for two touchdowns and an interception. Former national champion Breiden Fehoko shared his thoughts on the quarterback.

“Kamario Taylor throws one of the prettiest balls in the nation. Outside of that, I’m trying to see the hype. Cause it reminds me of Anthony Richardson,” he wrote on X.
Taylor’s performances have also fueled discussions about his potential entry into the transfer portal. Many believe that, given his talent, Taylor is unlikely to finish his college career with the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
On ESPN’s College GameDay, Nick Saban said that he would have tried to get Kamario Taylor into the transfer portal if he were coaching today. Hours later, Taylor responded by saying that he bleeds maroon and white.
Paul Finebaum later criticized Saban for his comment.
“I don’t blame fans calling up (radio shows) and saying, ‘Oh, he’s going to go to LSU. He’s going to play for Kalen DeBoer,’” Finebaum said, per Al.com. “I tell you, there’s somebody I do blame for what happened this week in the country. This may be verboten, but I blame Nick Saban because Nick Saban went on College GameDay and showed the arrogance of Alabama by saying, ‘Well, yeah, I’d go in the portal and sign him.’”
Finebaum believes Saban’s “arrogance” sends the wrong message and could make Mississippi State fans feel their program isn’t good enough if Alabama, LSU, and Georgia can get any player they want.
Sports Author compares Kamario Taylor to Dak Prescott
Quarterback Dak Prescott played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs from 2011 to 2015. According to Paul Finebaum, the Bulldogs’ current quarterback, Kamario Taylor, could be better than Prescott.
“We came here 10 years ago, and [Mississippi State] had Dak Prescott,” Finebaum said on SEC Network’s pregame show on Saturday. “They were undefeated, and I’m not gonna go on a limb and make some ridiculous statement. I’ll save that for later in the show. But they have a quarterback now that may be better than Dak Prescott: Kamario Taylor.”
Taylor is facing his strongest opponent yet in the Crimson Tide today, and if he secures another win for his team, these comparisons will only grow.
