It’s crunch time before the postseason for many high school sports, while for some the postseason has already arrived.

This story provides a look ahead at the week of Oct. 5 – Oct. 9 with games and meets to watch across cross country, boys and girls volleyball and boys soccer for Oshkosh, Fond du Lac schools.

As the season progresses, this story will also provide a look at notable accomplishments, how conference races are shaking out and anything newsworthy that happens across the non-football fall sports.

Postseason Golf

Sectionals for girls golf got started on Monday, Oct. 5.

Fond du Lac qualified as a team and Oshkosh North’s Samantha Leib qualified as an individual. They are in the Hartford sectional at Washington County GC-Hartford.

In Division 2, Winneconne’s Kallie Kaiser qualified as an individual and is playing in the Wrightstown sectional at Hilly Haven GC in De Pere.

Games to Watch

Postseason tennis

Girls tennis subsectionals started on Monday, Oct. 5 and will run for two days before sectionals take place Oct. 7 – Oct. 8.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

Oshkosh North at Oshkosh West, boys soccer, 6:30 p.m.

This crosstown rivalry is set for its 2026 matchup. Oshkosh North is 3-8-0, while Oshkosh West is 5-3-4.

Neenah at Fond du Lac, boys volleyball, 7 p.m.

This match features two undefeated teams Fox Valley Association play. Fond du Lac is 14-2 overall, while Neenah is 14-3.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Campbellsport Invite, Cross Country

Campbellsport is hosting its cross country meet and there are six Oshkosh, Fond du Lac schools participating. Campbellsport, Lourdes Academy, Mayville, North Fond du Lac, St. Mary’s Springs and Valley Christian are all a part of the field.

Laconia at Mayville, girls volleyball, 7 p.m.

Laconia and Mayville are the last two teams undefeated in conference play in the Flyway Conference. Mayville has won three straight entering the week, while Laconia is on an 11-game winning streak. Per MaxPreps, a Mayville win would be its first against Laconia since 2017.
