According to Bernabeu Digital, the Frenchman has emerged as a ‘real option’ for Madrid after adapting to life at Manchester City.
His performances have strengthened his reputation as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking midfielders, and with City facing potential punishment, Los Blancos are keeping a close eye on the developments.
Rayan Cherki emerges as a Real Madrid transfer option
Cherki’s emergence has attracted attention from several clubs, with Real Madrid already familiar with the player after previously exploring the possibility of signing him.
The outlet mentions that Los Blancos still value his technical quality and ability to influence matches in advanced areas.
However, there is an obvious complication at the Santiago Bernabeu: Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler already provide options in the attacking midfield role.

Finding room for Cherki in a squad packed with attacking talent would therefore require technical planning rather than just adding another big name.
Manchester City situation could determine Cherki’s future
The situation becomes more interesting because of the uncertainty surrounding Manchester City and their ongoing legal issues.
Bernabeu Digital suggests that the most severe potential sanctions could create an opportunity for clubs interested in City’s players.
On that note, Cherki could become one of the names attracting significant attention if such a scenario materialises.
A major punishment could lead to several players reassessing their futures, potentially making a move more realistic for Real Madrid.

However, this remains a hypothetical scenario, and even the case is likely to take a long time before any verdict is reached.
Until that happens, Cherki continues to be considered an important player at City and is understood to be happy at the Etihad, meaning there is currently no clear indication that he is seeking an exit.
Real Madrid will continue monitoring Cherki
For Real Madrid, the sensible approach is to keep the French international on the radar rather than force a move that does not yet have an obvious pathway.
Cherki’s versatility and attacking quality fit the profile of a player who could interest the club, but Bellingham and Guler already occupy a similar area of the pitch.
Any decision would therefore depend on both squad planning and the circumstances surrounding Manchester City.
