Bam Adebayo Sends Heartfelt Message to 5x MVP A’ja Wilson After Historic WNBA Achievement

Bam Adebayo had a heartfelt message to his girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, after she won her fifth WNBA MVP. The Las Vegas Aces made history by becoming the first WNBA player to win MVP five times. She’s also the first player to win the award for three straight seasons. Wilson averaged 26.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in the regular season.

Adebayo was unable to share the special moment with Wilson. The Miami Heat had a Thursday night preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans. However, the Heat star made sure to send an emotional message, which moved the WNBA star.
The Aces arranged for Adebayo to send a voicemail for his girlfriend.

Not only the player, but the person that you’ve become. I just can’t put into words how special you are to not only me, but the Aces, the city of Vegas. … You change so many people’s lives and it’s so impactful. And I’m blessed to be a part of it.
“You have five and I’m here to gas you up every single day. I don’t can what anybody else is. You’re the greatest of all time. I want you to know (that) it would always be celebrated. I will always celebrate you. I will always be the one to be like, ‘Yeah, that’s my wife getting the fifth MVP.'”
Bam Adebayo also took his time during Miami’s Media Day to send a message to Wilson. It was later revealed by the WNBA star that the Heat big man knew about her MVP win a week before it was officially announced.
“Bam actually had known for a week, so he didn’t tell me anything, which is great,” Wilson said. “But good luck in his preseason game.”
How Long Have Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson Been Together?
According to reports, Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson started dating after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Both star players represented Team USA in basketball and spent time together off the court. They dated until 2024 before rumors emerged.
In 2025, the couple made their relationship public. Adebayo has also spoken about his plans to marry the Aces star. The Heat star has reportedly talked to Roscoe C. Wilson Jr., the father of the WNBA star, to ask for her hand in marriage.
However, Adebayo has yet to make an official proposal.
