LSU wide receiver Jackson Harris delivered one of the wildest plays of the Tigers’ matchup against Kentucky on Saturday, throwing a 41-yard touchdown pass to Roman Mothershed on a perfectly executed trick play.

The fourth-quarter strike gave LSU a 27-24 lead with 9:42 remaining in regulation. The play came after the Tigers picked up a big gain on third down, setting the stage for head coach Lane Kiffin to dial up something unexpected.

LSU used a double pass, with Harris taking the ball before launching a deep throw that found Mothershed for the score.

Recruiting reporter Hayes Fawcett shared footage of the impressive play, which quickly stood out as one of the night’s biggest highlights. Harris showed impressive accuracy despite playing wide receiver rather than quarterback, delivering the ball to Mothershed in stride for the 41-yard touchdown.

Harris has already shown his ability to make an impact for LSU this season. He broke out during the Tigers’ win over Texas A&M two weeks earlier, recording 12 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns. His performance against the Aggies established him as a valuable weapon in the passing game.

The play also came during a strong stretch for quarterback Sam Leavitt, who had completed 14 of 18 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns by halftime.LSU entered the matchup looking to build on consecutive wins after its loss to Ole Miss.
