The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 7 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations, before facing the Detroit Lions in Week 7 of the 2026 season on Sunday.

While a few important players avoided injuries coming out of Sunday night's win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers did add five players with new injuries on the first injury report, including quarterback Jordan Love and top receivers Matthew Golden and Christian Watson. The Lions, meanwhile, listed just three players, including two players expected to return from injury lists.

Neither team held a full practice on Wednesday, so participation designations are estimates. The Packers went through a walk-through.

Here’s everything to know from the week's first injury report:

Packers first injury report, Week 7

  • Limited participation: LG Aaron Banks (knee/toe), DL Anthony Campbell (ankle), CB Brandon Cisse (shoulder/neck), WR Matthew Golden (shoulder), QB Jordan Love (back), DL Jordon Riley (Achilles), CB Benjamin St-Juste (hamstring), WR Christian Watson (ankle), WR Savion Williams (ankle)
  • Did not participate: WR Bo Melton (back)

Lions first injury report, Week 7

  • Limited participation: CB Rock Ya-Sin (hamstring)
  • Full participation: S Brian Branch (Achilles), C Cade Mays (wrist)

Big things to know

-- Tight end Tucker Kraft, center Sean Rhyan and running back MarShawn Lloyd were all evaluated for injuries on the field during Sunday's win over the Cowboys, but the Packers didn't list any of the three on the first injury report. Good news.

-- All the hits on Jordan Love were eventually going to take a toll physically. He has a new back injury. (Insert Love has a back injury from carrying the team all season jokes here.) Receiver Matthew Golden has a new shoulder injury, while receiver Christian Watson is dealing with a new ankle injury. All three were estimated as limited participants on Wednesday, so availability concerns for Sunday should be minimal. Still, something to watch this week.

-- Receiver/special teamer Bo Melton didn't practice on Wednesday, so there's a chance he's in danger of not playing Sunday.

-- For the first time all season, defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt is no longer listed on the injury report. He might finally be 100 percent after last season's significant ankle injury. The Packers also removed Jacob Monk, Keisean Nixon, Evan Williams and Lukas Van Ness from the injury report to start Week 7.

-- Cornerback Brandon Cisse left Sunday's win over the Cowboys with a stinger injury, but he was able to participate on Wednesday. Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste returned to practice after missing last week with a hamstring injury.

-- The Lions are expecting to return safety Brian Branch and center Cade Mays this week. Branch provides a big boost for a beleaguered secondary, while Mays is expected to start right away at center.
