The Utah Jazz gave an update on two of their top players one day after Jaren Jackson Jr. and Lauri Markkanen both left the team’s 110-105 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The prognosis is better for Markkanen than Jackson.

Markkanen is considered day-to-day after spraining his right wrist against the Grizzlies in the Jazz’s fourth game of the season.

Jackson, meanwhile, sustained a torn MCL in his right knee and will miss significant time — Utah said he will be re-evaluated in six weeks, while ESPN reported he is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks.

Both players left Monday’s game during the first half.

Their injuries are just the latest setback to Utah’s front court. Before the start of the season, projected starting center Jusuf Nurkic suffered a foot injury and, per ESPN, is scheduled to be re-evaluated in early November.
