Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. is attracting growing trade speculation ahead of the November 10 NFL deadline. His recent benching and declining production have reportedly increased belief around the league that Jacksonville could move the former first-round pick.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the Jaguars’ earlier stance on Thomas and how his recent struggles have changed the conversation among rival teams.

Thomas has struggled to reproduce his rookie-season production. He recorded 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024.
This season, he has managed only nine receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown across six games. He also lost playing time after two costly drops against Houston in Week 6.

“You have teams in the receiver market like the Kansas City Chiefs that need one, that I believe have multiple lines in the water as far as receivers; the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking around,” Fowler said on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
He also noted that Jacksonville has not committed to trading Thomas.
“The Jaguars have not totally committed to trading Brian Thomas right now, but he’s in and out of the lineup and would welcome a team most likely,” Fowler added.
Both Kansas City and Pittsburgh could benefit from adding another receiving option. Thomas still offers considerable upside because of his size, speed and previous production.

However, Jacksonville must weigh his potential against his current role. The Jaguars are 4-2 and lead the AFC South under head coach Liam Coen.

Trading a young receiver could weaken their offensive depth. Still, a strong draft return might appeal to Jacksonville if the coaching staff no longer views Thomas as a reliable starter.
The Jaguars face Indianapolis on Sunday. Thomas’ involvement could offer another indication of his standing before the deadline.
