MM 6.3: Maryland men’s soccer announces 2026 schedule

Despite reaching the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time since 2018, Maryland men’s soccer’s 2025 campaign ended on a disappointing note. The Terps were the highest seeded team remaining before their exit to the eventual national champions.

While Maryland was forced to wait another year to pursue the program’s fifth national title, the teams standing in its way of consecutive unbeaten regular seasons are set. Head coach Sasho Cirovski released the Terps’ 2026 schedule on Tuesday.

Maryland will have a chance to avenge its only two losses in 2025: UCLA and defending national champion Washington. But before the Terps get to Big Ten play, their nonconference slate should provide plenty of tests.

Last year’s quarterfinalist Georgetown and No. 10-seed High Point will visit Ludwig Field during Maryland’s four-game homestand. The Terps’ lone nonconference game away from College Park comes against Pittsburgh.

While Maryland’s home Big Ten slate is rather favorable — it faces Wisconsin, UCLA, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State, four of which finished in the bottom half of the conference last season — the Terps have a gauntlet on the road. Washington, Michigan and Indiana were NCAA Tournament teams in 2025.

In total, Maryland will face seven postseason teams from last season’s tournament field. But with several key pieces returning, the Terps will likely be able to handle another difficult slate.
