NC State picked up some veteran depth at guard last week with the addition of Boston University transfer Audrey Ericksen, who logged quite a few minutes over the last three seasons primarily as a light-usage perimeter shooter.

Her efficiency numbers are pretty rough, but she is a worthwhile flyer given that, as The Wolfpacker reports, she’s expected to join the team as a walk-on. She’s a career 31.8% three-point shooter on 274 attempts, which isn’t a bad insurance policy to have on the bench. She has good size for a guard as well.

The average 3FG% across women’s hoops last season was 30.9%, so if she can shoot around her career average, she’ll be a modest perimeter shooting boost for the Pack. The best-case scenario is probably her doing that while siloed in an even more extreme three-specialist role (she’s highly turnover prone) to maximize her efficiency in small doses of playing time.

She made over 40% of her threes from above the break and the right wing—and she was a 35% three-point shooter overall in 2025—so there is some potential value here, but again, that’s in limited situations.
