The Kansas City Chiefs need to be at full strength for their Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos on 'Monday Night Football,' but the team's Friday injury report included three developments that were cause for fans in Western Missouri to be concerned.

Three players — veteran defensive back Chamarri Conner, second-year offensive lineman Josh Simmons, and star pass-rusher Chris Jones — have either missed practice or been a limited participant in Kansas City's workouts ahead of the Chiefs' primetime showdown with Denver.
Here's a look at each player's outlook as Kansas City prepares to conduct its final practice in Week 1:
DB Chamarri Conner
Conner has missed all of the Chiefs' workouts this week and is unlikely to play against Denver. Kansas City will expect Jaden Hicks and Xavier Nwankpa to fill the void left by Conner in Steve Spagnuolo's defense.
OL Josh Simmons
A lower back injury has kept Simmons from practicing in Week 1. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has indicated that rookie offensive lineman Kahlil Benson is likely to be tabbed as Kansas City's starting left tackle on 'Monday Night Football.'
DL Chris Jones
It is too soon to tell if Jones might need to miss time due to a calf injury that limited his participation in the Chiefs' practice session on Friday, September 11. Fans should expect Kansas City to give Jones an official game status designation in the coming days, which will be the best indication of his expected availability in Week 1.
