Rays star pays homage to Sixers star LeBron James after walk-off win

Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James has clearly had a huge influence on the younger generation of stars in all of sports. He is considered one of, if not the greatest player to ever play the game when considering all of the amazing accomplishments he's had across his 23 seasons thus far.
In baseball, Tampa Bay Rays star Junior Caminero lifted the Rays to the playoffs with a walk-off 2-run home run to beat the Houston Astros 3-1. In his postgame interview, Caminero paid homage to James with a "Tampa! This is for you!" a la when James yelled out "Cleveland! This is for you!" after leading the Cavaliers to the championship in 2016.

While Caminero and the Rays prepare for the postseason in MLB, James and the Sixers will continue their offseason work and prepare for the long grind of the 2026-27 season. Heading into his 24th season, James will look to get the Sixers to the mountaintop for the first time since 1983 and add a fifth championship to his brilliant resume.
