Longhorns Daily News: Is Arch Manning’s time at Texas ‘nearing an end,’ as analyst says?

In a recent column for Bleacher Report, veteran college football writer Adam Kramer opined on his belief that Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning’s time at Texas is “nearing an end” following the team’s most recent loss to Florida at home in Austin over the weekend.

In Kramer’s opinion, it would be “best for all parties” if Manning opts to leave the Longhorns to play elsewhere for the 2027 college football season, despite Manning’s numerous wins against ranked opponents over the past two seasons holding signal-caller duties for the Longhorns.

Kramer wrote, “What has become increasingly evident week over week, however, is that Arch Manning will never be what so many wanted him to be, what Texas and its loyal fans expected him to be, and what Steve Sarkisian, despite a mountain of evidence that says otherwise, still says he will ultimately become.”

Those are tough words for a fan base that has invested years in watching Manning’s development.

So, does Texas part ways with the fourth-year quarterback and potentially allow him to have success as a fifth-year player for another program? Or does Texas stick it out through hard times with their young signal caller?
